Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain web applications using PHP with experience in working on Laravel framework.
Develop/implement API services for integration with other systems and platforms.
Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
Ensure the performance, quality and responsiveness of applications.
Manage all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including planning, testing and deployment.
Maintain well-documented, reusable and transferable code.
Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software to ensure strong optimization and functionality.
Contribute to the evolution of the platform architecture and the implementation of new technologies and coding standards.

Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field from recognised university.
Proven software development experience in PHP.
Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks, specifically Laravel. Knowledge of additional PHP frameworks like Symfony or CodeIgniter is added benefit.
Experience in developing and implementing RESTful APIs.
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
Strong knowledge of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
Expertise in web servers (e.g. Apache) and database technology such as MySQL/MariaDB.
Understanding of MVC design patterns.
Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds.
